An original, one sheet movie poster (27″x41″) pretty rare, although it is a 73-year-old poster, it is in very good folded condition. There are the original 4 lines from the 3 folds, No there are scraps of masking tape, no there is damage to each corners, slight ripped, first and third folding lines an upper right side, 12 small perforations for theatrical display, sealed on the back: Glory alley 1 Sh 52-201 and number 12 handwritten. Lettering at the bottom of the poster: 9250 COPYRIGHT 1952 LOWE S INCORPORATED LITHO. IN U. S. A. 52/101. Printer’s proof marks in the corners, may indicate that it was produced in very low numbers usually, in this case it would be number 52 of 101.
MOVIE SYNOPSIS
Glory Alley is one of the most famous works of jazz and cinema, a 1952 American musical drama film, It tells, the story of the boxer Socks Barbarossa, his manager Peppi Donato, his girlfriend Angie Evans and his father, a blind man, known as the Judge. Barbarossa enlists in the army and ends up in the middle of the Korean War. When he returns, everyone welcomes him as a hero, except the Judge.
